Hi. My name is Shannon Aardsma. I like pineapples, pirates, and pizza. I play guitar, violin, and piano, though I have yet to master those instruments. I love to draw...when I'm in the mood for it. I think I'm a pretty good singer, though I hate singing in front of people unless I'm in a group. I dream of far-off places filled with adventure-- or maybe that's just what I write. Oh, did I forget to mention that I'm a writer? Well, you probably already figured that out if you've seen the other pages on my website. Writing is one of the most important things in my life, God being the first, and family and friends coming in second. Ok, pizza's up there pretty high too, but the point is, writing is important to me. I can't remember a time that I haven't loved writing. In second grade, many of the assignments we were given were creative writing assignments, and I couldn't have been happier. In fourth grade, my mom (also my teacher) allowed me to write short stories instead of book reports. But it wasn't until high school that I realized I could make writing a career. Sure, it may take a while to really take off, but it's possible. So, something I'd like for you to take away from my site and my writing is to follow your dreams -- within reason, of course. :P If you have a dream that you believe God has placed in your heart, then see it through. Don't let anyone tell you it's not possible. If God intended it, He'll make a way.
